How to remove wall adhesive from painted walls. Hold a putty knife or razor blade at a low angle to the wall and scrape the excess putty away from the wall. Wipe the putty from the wall with a clean wet sponge. Work carefully to avoid scratching.

Press your putty ball against the stubborn wall attached poster putty. Dry the wall surface with a dry cloth. Insert a flat dull blade between the foam and the wall. To avoid marks when you re taking down a poster use your fingernail to get right under the putty and ease it out and away from the wall so that it comes away still attached to the poster.

Remove your putty ball. Removing blu tack from a wall is surprisingly easy. Work the blade beneath the foam and gently pry it up. Blu tack is a brand name and there are similar products called tack.

How to get white putty off walls. To get off any small pieces still on the wall rub a fresh piece of putty over the stragglers in a gentle circular motion. Roll your poster putty into a ball. Watch the video for all the details.
